On July 10th you can join a free, interactive Zoom session with Shannon Downey, author of "Let's Move the Needle".
We will explore the intersection of social justice and fiber art.
The session will include a presentation, discussion, and guided art making.
Participants will engage in meaningful conversation and hands-on creative experiences that can be brought directly into the classroom to help students better understand the power of fiber art as a tool for social change and community connection around the world.
This session is designed for art educators working with
students in grades K–12 and beyond.

There are also two opportunities for discounted continuing education credit through KAEA. Cost is $85 for one credit hour at Friends University for each of the following:
1. Attending the KAEA Summer Professional Development Conference in Topeka (June 9-10th) and completing a lesson plan inspired by your workshop.
2. Enrolling in the KAEA Book Study over "The Wisdom of Our Hands" by Doug Stowe,
offered in July.
