YAM 2026

It's that time of year again!

Please PLAN AHEAD--the weather is more than unpredictable and we want to make sure that your students are represented!

Both the Student Art Exhibit and the

YAM Celebration will take place at the

Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library.

Kansas Youth Art Month Exhibit

February 24th-March 28th

Topeka Shawnee County Public Library

Every year March is set aside nationally to celebrate Youth Art. The Kansas Art Education Association coordinates a celebration at the state level, which features an art exhibit and a reception for student artists, parents, and teachers. KAEA also partners with BLICK Art in sponsoring an art competition during Youth Art Month. Entries will be on display at the YAM Exhibit and Award recipients will receive recognition at the YAM Celebration on March 28th during the YAM Celebration/Reception.

Now is the time to start planning for the Youth Art Month Exhibit and Competition(s)!!

Every art teacher in Kansas can submit ONE student's art work from each school or level that they teach at

into the Youth Art Month Exhibit. (Teach K-12? You can enter 3 pieces! Teach at 4 elementary schools? You can enter 4 pieces!)

KAEA members can additionally submit that piece into the

BLICK Youth Art Month Competition!

Check the list of YAM volunteers that are willing to make sure that your pieces reach the Topeka Public Library for you!!!

ONE document will provide all of the information that you will need to make you and your school a part of the celebration of

YOUTH ART in Kansas!
