HIGHLIGHTS
•EVERY teacher that participates by submitting a student's art work into the YAM Exhibit will receive a 50-piece oil pastel set, discount coupon and access to video tutorials courtesy of Pentel.
•BLICK YAM Art Competition--a member benefit (entered digitally) Students and their teachers who have placed in the Blick Competition will receive prize packages and be recognized at the YAM Celebration. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 3 honorable mentions for Elementary, Middle and High School Levels will be recognized. A Best of Show will be recognized with a prize package worth $1000+! Don't forget to take a photo of your piece and the artist statement before you send your piece to the exhibit! •People's Choice All student art included in the YAM exhibit are eligible for awards! Voting will take place through March 21st. The top 3 vote getters and their teachers will receive prizes and be recognized at the YAM Celebration The top vote getter and their teacher will receive a backpack filled with a wide variety of product courtesy of Pentel. In addition, the People's Choice top vote getting student will be showcased on the Pentel's Instagram page and website providing the student with an opportunity to gain recognition for their artistic achievements at a national level!
•The Anne and Bill Bracker 3-D Yam Awards sponsored by Bracker's Good Earth Clay Students who's work is chosen by Brackers representatives will receive prizes and be recognized at the YAM Celebration.
•YAM Flag--a member benefit Students and their teachers who's flag entries placed in the YAM Flag Competition will receive prizes and be recognized at the YAM Celebration. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 3 honorable mentions for Elementary, Middle and High School Levels will be recognized.
•NEW (Second year!) Best YAM Classroom Display Competition One classroom will receive a prize package sponsored by Royal Brush. Due no later than March 10th. Send a photo and a brief description of your display (what it includes, location, etc.) as an attachment to Linda Nelson-Bova at nelsonbova@yahoo.com
NEW “Youth Art Month Activity Calendar” We have created a Youth Art Month calendar for you to use over the course of the month filled with a prompt for each day during March.
NEW “Design a Button” Competition Students can design a button celebrating Kansas Youth Art Month. THREE designs will be chosen and buttons will be made with those designs and be available for sale at the Sales Table at the YAM Celebration on March 28th. Winning students will be recognized at the YAM Celebration. Designs are due by March 10th.
•Youth Art Month "Featured Artists" Selected students will be featured on our social media platforms during the month of March. A schedule will be sent out to the teachers of those selected students. An effort is made to represent all regions and levels.
•National YAM Exhibit A handful of student art will be selected to be exhibited on the Kansas Panel at the National YAM Exhibit at the NAEA Convention in Chicago. Teachers will be notified if their students will be included so that they can send out advocacy materials.
•Harry Hart Memorial Senior Scholarships--a member benefit The 3 recipients of the scholarships will have their work on display and receive recognition at the YAM Celebration.
•YAM Celebration Activities will begin at 11:oo and the Awards Ceremony will start around 1:00. We will have many activities for the students to participate in and there will be time to view the exhibit.

Anyone can fill this out to show their support for Arts Education! Teachers, Parents, Administrators, students, etc. Share with everyone that you know! We use this data in our scrapbook that we submit for National Recognition for our program.
