Upcoming Regional Events

KAEA Regional Events are held periodically around the state. You are welcome to attend events from any region. You do not need to be a member to attend, though we would love to have you!

North Central

Stained Glass Workshop

Learn the basics of foil wrap stained glass! You will make a small ornament, learning to cut glass, shape glass, apply foil, and solder your pieces together. 

 

Date: December 11, 2021

Where: Great Bend High School 

Time: 9 am - 3 pm

Cost: $10

Workshop is limited to 15 spaces, payment is essential to saving your spot due to glass ordering.

North East

Raku Glaze Get-Together

Bring a bisque piece to RAKU glaze. If you have raku or 04 or 05 glazes, you can glaze before attending. Some bisque tea bowls will be available to glaze.

We will glaze pots first thing then preheat to dry out glazes so we can fire in the afternoon. We will also create a slab built lidded box. Clay will be provided.

Kansas City 

Lesson Plan Swap and Make-and-Take 

Come join your regional area to swap lesson plans and create some artwork!

Bring copies of a lesson plan and examples of the project! We’ll have a swap

and then a tour of the Emporia State Art Department.
