    • Kansas Art Education Association is offering grants to members that may be used to purchase materials for your classroom for student-centered instruction.  We know many of our members are dealing with budgets just too small to cover the costs of needed supplies to improve instruction.  In order to support our members, we want to offer a way to assist with these issues.

Thanks to your generous support, we’ve been able to move an entire cohort of students onto the wheels this semester. The energy in the studio has been transformative—there is nothing quite like the hum of a line of wheels and the focus of a student finding center for the first time.

We are so grateful for the KAEA’s commitment to keeping the arts alive and well-equipped in Kansas schools. Thank you for making this possible for my students!”

-Kacie Schmidt

“This past spring, I was awarded a mini grant through my school district, and a Project Grant through KAEA.  Utilizing the funds for these two grants, I was able to purchase 10 knitting loom kit class sets for myself and my co-teacher to be used at all 5 of the elementary schools that we teach at…Every 6th grade student in our district was able to make their own hat or ear warmer… It was a very successful project and the students enjoyed it.  This year’s fifth graders are excited to make one next year!”
