There are some excellent workshops to choose from!! 

You will be able to take your new knowledge right back to your classroom!


The Schedule

Check-In will take place Thursday evening from 4-7 

and Friday morning from 7-9 in the Memorial Union, Second floor

Keynote Speaker

James Haywood Rolling Jr. is the current and 37th President of the 

National Art Education Association. Before this role, he initially served as 

NAEA’s Higher Education Division Director (2011-2013), Was recognized 

with the 2014 National Higher Art Educator Award for outstanding service and achievement, 

and also served as the inaugural Chair of NAEA’s Equity, 

Diversity, and Inclusion Commission




Division and Region Meetings

There will be designated meeting times for the different regions 

and divisions to get together to discuss pertinent information.

Conference Grants are Available

Member teacher grant applications are due by September 1st!

Grants provide recipients with $200 to offset the cost of the conference. 

Five grants are available and recipients will receive cash at the conference.


Member Pre-Service/Student grant applications are due by September 15th.

Grants provide recipients with the cost of registration. 

Recipients will receive a code to remove the cost of registration 

from their online registration form. 

Applicants must be a member BEFORE applying.

Limit 20--grants are awarded on a first come basis.

The Members Only Art Exhibit

This is a great and easy way to show off your talents with this digital format! You must be a conference 

registrant to participate. Limit of two entries per member

Provide the images with title, media and date to Rebecca Lomshek rlomshek@usd250.org


College Credit is Available

This is a great opportunity to get college credit at a great price!

Friends University: $85

             Silent and Live Auction                      

               Don't forget to bring something to donate and money to buy!!

Check out the offerings throughout Friday morning--browse often....and bid often!!

 Bidding will end at 1:00

Proceeds go to fund the Pre-Service Conference Grants.

Pre-Order your conference shirt(s) and a copy of Keynote Speaker James Haywood Rolling Jr's book 

" Growing Up Ugly: Memoirs of a Black Boy Daydreaming" with your registration.

District won't pay for your t-shirt with your registration?--no problem!

There are directions on the website as to how you can pre-order with the KAEA Treasurer.


All orders are due by September 15th--there will only be a few extras at the sales table for purchase.


Suitcase Sale

You do not have to reserve a spot to sell your wares, this year!! 

Only requirements are that you are a member and that you are a conference registrant.

Bring money to buy--there are always a great variety of quality art pieces to choose from!

The suitcase sale will be during First Fridays Gallery Hopping from 5-8pm at the Lyon County Museum.
