Harry Hart Memorial Senior Scholarships

It is once again about time to consider an outstanding senior that you would like to nominate for the Harry Hart Memorial Scholarship! We had a great turnout last year and hope to continue to encourage even more art educators to submit students for this opportunity!

Harry Hart was a long time art educator who passed away in 2009. KAEA honors his memory by providing a $500 scholarship directly to the chosen institute of higher learning for two outstanding seniors planning to pursue a career in art. Every current KAEA member may nominate one student for consideration who is in good academic standing.

Submission is easy- a four slide presentation including the student's name and images of three of their completed works of art along with a short Excel form containing basic contact information. Winners will be announced mid-February and will have work featured in the Youth Art Month exhibition in Topeka.

Please consider selecting a student for this amazing opportunity! The deadline is January 31st, 2020so start thinking about who you'd like to nominate now!

The submission guidelines can be found at:

Recognition of the Scholarship Recipients will take place during the Youth Art Month Celebration/Reception at the Alice Sabatini Gallery at the Topeka Public Library on March 22nd.

Happy New Year!
